A little about me. I have enjoyed doing client makeup for 7 years now. It's not only my side hustle, but a creative outlet that keeps me sane! My main hustle is being a nursing student and here shortly... I will be a real life ICU nurse! Although client makeup and nursing may seem vastly different, they both are centered around helping others which is conveniently my love language. In both careers you are helping someone get comfortable and feel like the best version of themselves.

hello. I'm Whitney.

welcome

I started BeatByWhit in 2016, my sophomore year of high school. Beat was the "cool" term for a full glam, however the 2016 trend of makeup included caking it on with a beaming powder highlight, clean cut pomade brows, matte liquid lips, and a clean cut crease.

Through prom and homecoming, I had 4-8 clients each Saturday. I fell in love with meeting new people, enhancing their beauty, and making connections all over town. It didn't feel like work.. it was fun and creative.

I went off to college and ditched my side hustle. I moved back home for nursing school two years later and received several inquiries for wedding makeup. I didn't plan to get my side hustle going again, but it basically fell in my lap and I fell in love again!

My makeup style naturally switched to soft bridal glam. It's much different than the 2016 "beat". I decided to keep the name "Beat by Whit" because it reminds me of the journey I have had with client makeup through the years!
